Shanghai International Convention Center

Shanghai International Convention Center, located in Lujiazui Financial and Trade Center, adjacent to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, across the river from the Bund buildings, with convenient transportation facilities and unique geographical location, was completed and officially opened in August 1999. The convention center, with total construction area of 110000 square meters and as a landmark in Shanghai, was named one of the ten classic buildings in the founding of the people's Republic of China in the past 50 years.
Fortune Global Forum, the APEC leaders' Summit and Series, the 35th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank, the Fifth Meeting of Telecommunications Ministers of the APEC, the 60th Session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the Global Conference on Poverty Alleviation, the World Engineers Conference, the 24th World Ports Congress, the 22nd World Law Congress, the 28th World Congress on Software Engineering, the Meeting of the heads of state of the SCO and the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the African Development Bank Group, as well as the reception tasks of the political dignitaries at home and abroad, are all successfully completed here.
